Marbles

The soul slot - a charged, single-use burst of flat attack that every class can carry.

A marble sits in its own equipment cell, marked [Marble], and is the cheapest raw damage in the game. It is not a passive: it has to be charged, and a charge is spent.

How it works

  1. Equip a marble. On its own, equipping does nothing.
  2. Press E to charge. One marble is consumed from the stack and the bonus is armed. E also toggles auto-charge, so the next one arms automatically.
  3. Press Shift+E to charge once without touching the auto-charge setting.
  4. The armed bonus is a flat addition to your attack - physical and magic, minimum and maximum alike.
  5. It is spent by a normal attack, not by a skill.

The counter above the orb on your HUD shows how many you are carrying.

Spend your charge before you log out. A charge does not survive a disconnect, and an unspent one is simply lost.

The marbles

Dark-Green41+386 to both
Emperador41+579 physical only
Thassos41+579 magic only
Blue51+591 to both

Breccia70a random roll between +300 and +2,000

The specialists are the better buy for almost everyone. A marble that boosts both damage types costs the same as one that boosts a single type half again as hard - and most builds only ever use one of the two. Take the physical marble on a physical class and the magic one on a caster.

Breccia is the gambler's option: the same price band, but every charge rolls somewhere between very poor and the best number in the game.

The colour is cosmetic. It picks the charge effect and which HUD icon lights, nothing else.

Where to find them

Marbles are sold by NPC shops and drop from monsters, and they are one of the main outputs of salvaging equipment you no longer need.

Salvage became a real marble supply on 2 September. Dissolving no longer returns upgrade crystals or time stones; white equipment now has a chance to yield a marble matched to its own level instead. Feeding the shop-grade gear you outlevel back into the dissolve window is now the cheapest way to keep a stack charged.

Crafting them gives 50 at a time. The Lapidary's thirteen recipes produce a Marble Cluster, which opens into 50 marbles, rather than the single marble they used to give. A marble is spent on every landed hit, so one per craft was never a real supply. The ladder still consumes individual marbles as its ingredient, not clusters.

⚠️ There are two different Marble Clusters with the same idea behind them: the one the Lapidary crafts, and the one that comes out of boxes. They were split into separate items on 31 August, so do not be surprised to see both in your bag.
