Gods of War

A God of War is the highest god-point earner of a class, on a faction, in the current half-month. Titles are elected automatically on the 1st and the 15th of each month, so the standings reset twice a month and every period is winnable.

How you get there

1. Fight [Sacred War](/wiki/sacred-war). Ranking inside a war awards god points, and kills award them too.
2. Points accumulate on your character. Your personal total is capped; everything past the cap flows into the ranking pool that the election reads.
3. At each election the server ranks the pool per faction and per class family, keeps a top 100, and crowns the top of each list.

Because the ranking is per faction and per class family, you are competing against players like you, not against the whole server.

What a title is worth

• Buffs and items. The demigod ladder grants passive buffs and a set of demigod items.
• Rank titles. There is a 35-rank god ladder. The top ranks require both a maxed personal total and a ranking placement, so the last titles can only be reached through the election, never by grinding alone.
• A share of the treasury. Elected demigods take a percentage share of a tax pool, with the highest rank taking the largest cut.

God skills

The god skills are the faction ultimates the god ladder pays for, and three things about them changed in early September.

• Titan god skills now cost what the Olympus ones cost. Assassinate, Focus, Divine Blessing and Time Bomb charged the Titan side more skill points, more gold and a higher level for the same skill, with levels 4 and 5 gated at 61 instead of 36 and 40. They are the same on both sides now.
• Ranks 4 and 5 of a faction ultimate spend CP, like the ranks below them. They had not been registered as CP consumers, so the top two ranks were quietly free.
• Blessing of Artemis and Gondlier's Will state their real bonus: 1 CP +20%, 2 CP +25%, 3 CP +30% attack and magic attack. The tooltips used to under-report it.
• The God Power Buff icon explains what it does rather than showing only a timer.

⚠️ After a faction change you must put your god skills back on the quick slot bar. The skills survive the switch; their placement on the bar does not. The game now tells you so.

Things worth knowing

• God points survive a faction switch. Faction is read at election time, so changing sides moves which list you are ranked on without deleting what you earned.
• The [Colosseum](/wiki/colosseum) has its own daily god-point cap, which rises as your Ladder Point rises and resets at midnight.
• Missing an election is permanent. The election runs on the 1st and the 15th; a half-month you did not compete in does not come back.
