Getting Started

Make an account, pick a side, and learn the handful of systems that matter in your first week.

Legend of Edda: Pegasus is a free-to-play anime MMORPG set in a Greek-mythology world split between two warring pantheons. This page is the short version of everything the rest of the wiki explains in detail.

Make an account

Sign up on this site at Registration. Usernames and passwords use letters, numbers and underscore only - no spaces, no punctuation - and both are limited to the lengths the form shows you. The same account logs into the game, the Item Mall and this website.

Then install the client: the Play Free button at the top of this site takes you to it.

If a friend invited you, open their link before you sign up: the referral is stored the moment you land, so they are credited when you finish.

Get into the world

You start in Gaiyan Town, the main town and the hub every road leads back to. Its NPCs cover almost everything you need early:

  • the craft benches run the craft window, and they are split by what the item is rather than by who makes it - weapons at Bigorna, armour and accessories at Jacks, and the auxiliary goods at five separate crafters. See Crafting
  • the Enchanter runs Enchanting and Reinforcing
  • the Guild Master creates guilds, levels them and sells guild skills

The alpha, in three numbers

The game is running an open alpha, and that changes how to read the rest of this wiki:

  • The level cap is 40. Anything gated above it - the later dungeon tiers, the top war brackets, scroll tiers III to V - exists but cannot be reached yet.
  • Rates are boosted while the alpha runs: EXP x5 and gold x2, so the whole climb to the cap fits inside a week. Item drops are x1 - the old x2 multiplier was folded into the drop tables themselves on 28 August, so drops did not get worse, the number just moved.
  • The database is wiped every week. Characters, gear and guilds do not survive the reset. Play for the test, not for the stash.

Six things worth knowing early

  1. You can practise every trade at once. All twelve professions can be held together, each with its own level and experience, and taking a second never costs you the first. What gates them is the mastery trial at trade levels 3, 6 and 9, not a choice you make once. See Professions.
  2. Your faction decides who you fight. Olympus and the Titans are permanent enemies, and part of the item pool exists in two faction-locked versions. See Factions.
  3. Your weapon decides your attacks. Each weapon type has its own basic-attack chain, and most skills are locked to one weapon. See Classes.
  4. Dungeon entries are a daily budget, not a cooldown. Every character gets bronze dungeon coins each day; a mission dungeon costs one, a raid costs three. See Dungeons.
  5. Refining gear can destroy it. Up to +3 is safe. From +4 a failure can knock the grade back down, and from +6 the item can break outright. See Reinforcing.
  6. Sacred War is not endgame-only. Battlefields are split by level bracket starting from level 1, and kills score just as captures do. See Sacred War.

Two things that changed the early game in September

  • Monsters pay far more gold above level 20. The gold column had never been re-costed and paid about 5% of what a full skill tree costs to learn. It now ramps to about 4x at level 40, so a full tree at the cap costs roughly 2,700 kills instead of 10,500. Nothing at or below level 20 moved.
  • Quests no longer hand out potions or reward boxes. Low-level quests give Healing Bandage and Magical Wine instead, both of which now come in tiers, one per 20 levels - and Magical Wine works for every class.

Your minimap now shows the monsters around you as dots, with their own marker rather than the merchant icon.

Every page here is written from the game's own data files. If a page and the game disagree, the game is right and the page is stale - tell a GM.
