Works the water for catches no land trade can reach.
One of the nine professions. Every trade runs from level 1 to 10 and keeps its own level and experience; a character can learn all of them for no gold, with one gathering and one crafting trade active at a time and free switching. Gathering trades can be learnt from character level 1, crafting trades from level 10.

Skills
Holding this trade puts these in your Skills tab. Log out and back in after taking a new trade - the skill list only picks it up on the next login.
| Skill | What it does |
|---|---|
| Offline Gathering | Arms offline gathering. Log out afterwards and your character keeps gathering with your gathering trades, slowly and with lower odds. Everything gathered arrives in your mailbox. Not while an offline shop is open. Fishing needs a rod worn when you cast this. Granted while you practise Herbalism, Mining or Fisher. Appears in your skill list after you relog with the trade active. |
Perk ladder
Each level unlocks the perk on its row. The last column is what you actually have at that level: a perk never lowers a value an earlier one gave you, so a strong level-6 signature carries on until something beats it. A perk marked new is unlocked once and stays.
| Level | Perk | In game | What you have from this level |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | Sure Footing | Gathering is 5% faster. | gathering 5% faster |

What you gather
Every node always gives its main item and then rolls its extras. Experience per gather rises with the node's tier.
| Tier | Gather time | XP | Always gives | Chance of |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 12 s | 12 | Carp | Eel (30%), Tuna (10%), Wet Fabric (40%), Poseidon's Treasure Box (2%) |
Tools
A Fishing Rod must be worn to fish - that one is required. A better rod adds to the extra-catch chance on top of your perks. Rods are crafted at Beryl in Gaiyan Town.
Where the nodes and fishing spots are is on the crafting page.
